elevate foundation course

The elevate foundation course is an intensive three month course held between September and December, led by Europe’s foremost professional Christian dance company.

The course consists of the following:

• Contemporary, Ballet and Jazz technique
• Daily prayer
• Choreography
• Repertoire
• Improvisation
• Teaching practice supported by theory and anatomy classes
• Academic study of dance and the Christian faith
• Short performances

Who is the course for?

The course is suitable for people over 18 years of age. You do not need to have extensive training to audition for this course, but you do need a passion for dance.

For those with more experience of dance, and for those wishing to pursue a career in dance, it is possible to audition for elevate dance company during the course, or at the time of your initial application. The full elevate dance company course would commence after a 2–3 week break in December following the elevate foundation course.

How long does it take?

The elevate foundation course runs for three months from mid September until mid December.

The majority of the teaching takes place Monday to Wednesday, with a community placement on Thursday or Friday and some weekend dates.

The course takes place in South East London.

How much will it cost?

The elevate foundation course costs £1,850.
