WORKSHOPS FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS

Our dancers and teachers love creating dance with young people.

For secondary schools we offer bespoke workshops to support the curriculum and beyond.

Our contemporary dance workshops could include:

  • Working with a group of children towards a performance.
  • Company repertory
  • A chosen theme, story, text or liturgy explored through dance and physical theatre
  • Contemporary dance technique
  • Partner work and contact skills
  • Choreography skills

Our workshops are for KS3, GCSE, A-level or BTEC students.

Many schools choose us to work with a group of children during R.E. week towards a performance.

How our workshops work

A workshop day involves one or two of our highly experienced teachers visiting your school to work with your pupils during a school day. We have teachers based across the country so can deliver workshops nationwide. We can either work with up to 4 or 5 classes for one-off workshops or we can work more intensively with 1 or 2 classes.

Our bespoke workshops can be delivered in one-off days or we can stay for a longer residency and create a unique performance with your pupils. For shorter projects the day can finish with an informal sharing to the rest of the school or parents.

Fees vary, from £300 plus travel expenses depending on requirements. For whole class or partnering workshops, we will provide two teachers, with fees from £450 plus travel expenses.
