Watch out, there's a giant coming! PDF Print Email
Tuesday, 28 June 2011 10:52

Based on the much-loved tale by Oscar Wilde, The Selfish Giant is a captivating and inventive show of storytelling and dance. Audiences aged 5 to 105 will love this magical, big hearted production.

One day, a Giant returns home to find children playing in his beautiful garden. He builds a high wall all round it, and puts up a notice board saying “TRESPASSERS WILL BE PROSECUTED”. Nobody wants to be with the Giant except the wind, rain and snow, and his garden remains locked in a wintery chill.

But one morning as the Giant lies awake in bed, something is different…

This exciting, brand new collaboration of theatre and movement performed by a storyteller and four dancers is choreographed by Darren Ellis and directed by Steve Stickley with music by Jeremy Clay.
